Life Adjustment To Keep His Gift

Therefore, take careful heed to yourselves that you love the Lord your God. (Josh. 23:11)

Our tendency is to want to skip the adjustment and go from believing God to obedience. But adjustment is necessary because His ways are so different from ours. The generation after Joshua learned this the hard way. Once they had the land, they quit listening and adjusting their lives to love God in every situation. What new situations in your life tempt you to quit adjusting your life to God's ways?

Oh Constant One, forgive me that I have quit making the life adjustments You require. I will love You, obey You, and experience You. What adjustment need I make today? Amen.
