How To Use Stewardship Tracts
To be effective, the use of stewardship tracts must be carefully planned in advance.
THE PROPER SELECTION OF
TRACTS
Before stewardship tracts can be profitably distributed, a
careful selection must be made of the right tract to use. Several
factors are vital in the selection process.
- Identify the target audience and
potential reader.
- Determine the exact objective of the
tract.
- Consider the content of the tract.
- Consider the format of the tract.
THE PROFITABLE DISTRIBUTION OF TRACTS
After the right tract has been selected, it
must still be properly distributed. Here are some practical ways in
which this can be done.
- Insert tracts in bulletins, hand out
during the worship service, or and directly to people as they
arrive at Sunday School or the worship services.
- Give tracts to teachers in preparation
for teaching and training opportunities.
- Distribute tracts by the teachers to the
class members, either as supplementary reading material or as a
part of the lesson material itself.
- Enclose tracts in mail-outs during the
annual budget promotion and subscription emphasis.
- Enclose an appropriate tract when the
church mails its quarterly record of individual contributions and
a "Thank You" note.
- Enclose tracts in mail-outs promoting the
special mission or stewardship emphasis.
- Enclose tracts with routine church
correspondence.
- Distribute Cooperative Program tracts
throughout the church organizations in connection with Cooperative
Program emphasis in your church.
- Leave tracts in homes during stewardship
visits.
- Include tracts in packets which are
distributed to the church families in connection with any
stewardship emphasis.
- Display tracts prominently through the use of special displays
