The hymns in the hymnal did not match the drop-down menu listing. Hymns that I was looking for specifically were not in the hymnal, so I returned it.

The prayer and planning on the 2008 Baptist Hymnal project was obvious from my initial scan of the contents, layout and planning tools between its covers! Wow! What variety and thought have preceded the release. Now that I''ve begun using it regularly for both our Traditional and Contemporary Rehearsals and Services, I''m more grateful for its use as a regular programming tool for our mix of worship styles. From the enlarged font on each hymn title to the code at the bottom of the page on many of the hymns, indicating where to find the song in a different key, to the responsive readings in the MIDST of the songs, rather than compiling them at the back of the hymnal to the scripture and thoughts introducing great medleys of hymns and worship songs.
