Oct 15 2007 2:51PM  Essential for EVERY Children's Ministry
This material deserves a clear spot on the shelf of every children's minister's shelf, and needs to be referred to often. Any church looking at growing kids the way God desires needs to see the necessity for using this material.

Sep 26 2007 2:20PM  Invaluable resource but need additional resources/tools
There was really nothing I disliked. I have used this product and others before it with success, but I might have liked to see more info on how to begin revamping an outdated preschool or starting from scratch. I have had to do this in two churches we have served in and now am looking into "eating this elephant again". I am finding that if I simply tell the information, it is as if I do not have the "credentials" or authority to present it even though I posess a certificate from the Convention in Preschool work. We have had to call in someone from the outside to "teach the book" in the past. I am running into people who simply will not read a "manual" of this size. Is there a CD or Videotape that could complement the written material? I would love feedback from you on this.
Sometimes workers are resistant to new ideas or have just never heard this information before. I find this to be true whereever we go. How could we make it more "senior adult friendly"? We have many seniors in our present church who think they cannot teach preschool and frankly do not have any idea how to use the material and yet they are a valuable resource. My youngest (now 22) simply "loved" Mr. Charlie - an elderly man who helped in his preschool Sunday School class. In order to grow the church we must attract younger families. This is beginning to happen now. How could I bridge the gap until I can a. get enough younger workers to fill more of our needs, b. get my extra rooms ready for preschoolers, c.get everyone on the same page.? Suggestions for any of this would be appreciated.
