The first of a series of "Forty Day Experience" resources, Extreme Love is about Jesus' Greatest Commandment call for us to live in relationship with God and one another. This combination Bible study and daily devotional experience examines the Greatest Commandment from several diferent angles and gives new insights from each. As a 40 day experience, this study includes 7 small-group sessions each followed by personal, daily devotionals that reinforce the truths discovered in the sessions. Participants may enter the study at any session. Order one handbook for each adult member.

I used it with a group of women on Wednesday evenings. I saw lives transformed. It helped us connect the dots in our faith. Gave us a new way to witness to those we work with. Excellent discussion guide. Easy to use. Relevant to our daily living.

The material requires next to no preparation and is still
effective because it addresses life needs and key
biblical answers. There is provision for lots of group
discussion and our group loves it. As discipleship
director at Crievewood Baptist Church, I have taught or
reviewed many resources. I love the simple approach
and hope our whole adult congregation will have the
chance to go through it with worship and preaching on
the session topics each week.

Mar 10 2004 5:38PM I don't like it.
It needs more teacher/leader help. It leaves the inexperienced leader & class members with the burden of interpreting the scripture. That is fine with a well grounded, trained teacher but we both know that is not always the case. There is not enough "teaching" in it. Most Sunday School teachers are not equiped to teach in this way. It does not matter what "people" think. What God says is what matters. A teacher's guide is definitely needed.
