I liked this study as I didn't time for a much deeper study this season. However, I didn't like the print in the book. It is printed in a light brown type. As I get older, I find it more difficult to see. I would much prefer a darker print.

Kay takes a passage that is extremely familiar and provides new insight and personal understanding along with very practical disciplies for prayer. This is an excellent study for any student of the word. It offers fresh and challenging insight.

Mar 12 2008 2:54PM  Great insight to the Lord's Prayer & help in praying effectively
In answer to the disciples' request, "Lord, teach us to pray," Jesus gave them and us His perfect example of how to pray. This study examines each statement in it so that we learn how to pray effectively, worshiping and glorifying our Father, declaring our obedience and allegiance to Him as our Sovereign God, stating our dependence on Him for everything, and requesting His provision for our needs and those of others, asking His forgiveness for our sins by naming them as well as stating that we forgive others. We learn about asking for His protection and deliverance, and end our prayers with even more praise and worship of our Holy God. The questions were designed to encourage us to think, and the prayer exercises were really valuable. Our class members drew closer to one another through the exercises, discussions, and prayers, and, most importantly, closer to our Abba Father.

Feb 29 2008 8:54AM  A prayerful spirit? I'd say a critical and negative spirit!
I would have given this study 0 stars if I could. The author is too critical and negative. This author never gave us the words she thinks are worthy in prayer, just negative critiques of the way other Christians pray. This author (both in the book and videos) came across as "holier than thou" and "be just like me" if you want to be a good Christian. "Don't pray to Jesus! Don't do this! Don't do that!" If you have ever done a Beth Moore Bible Study, don't expect this one to come even close in both depth and "real"ness. What a waste of time. The questions were often ambiguous (at least in a Beth Moore study you can read the next paragraph and usually figure out what she was asking for) and "busy work". The videos were un-engaging and a real bore. Please, save your money and save your group by NOT choosing this study!

The key to depth can be found through daily personal study. Great for first time small group participants and for long timers who desire to refresh and renew their intimacy with God through prayer. Kay has great passion for the Word of God - this is both touching and motivating. Our small group really opened up and shared some personal prayer needs through this study. I recommend it.

I very much appreciated this DVD and work book.
I am learning how much the Lord wants to have a love relationship with His children. This study just showed me another way to do that, and how to pray more effective
