Great and easy to read
I read this every night and enjoy it. I see everything so much clearer by reading this Bible than I do other ones.

I Like It! It has become my primary translation.
When I first saw it in the sunday school literature I wasn't impressed. I was weary of the SBC "having a translation that they could control." I had been using the NASB primarily and using the NIV for some clarification. So I was interested in the HCSB and the ESV. But I was skeptical. (Gary's post dated 12/31/03 helped fuel my skeptism, because I believe a much more reformed view of scripture and salvation.)I bought a copy the day they appeared in Lifeway stores in March, I picked it up and read Psalm 23 and was disappointed. Since I don't know the biblical languages, I comapred the HCSB with the NASB,ESV, KJV, NKJV, NIV and a Strong's. I have e-mailed Broadman and Holman about pasages I have had questions about like Psalm 23. They have been quick to answer them in a clear and concise manner without any promotional spin. I have put a leather cover on my red hard back it has been my main bible for the past few months, my others are collecting dust on the shelf. My skeptism has turned to enthusiasm. I have given a thin line reference HCSB to my wife, the HCSB Sportsman's Bible to my brother and a HCSB Gift and Award Bible to one of my Sunday School students. I have recomended it to many people. Thanks be to God for the HCSB.

haven't got one yet :(
Since it's advertised as "red-lettered words of Jesus"...it makes older folks whose eyes lose the ability to read the red color first of all colors, slow to purchase red-letter editions.

This is the greatest translation of the Bible that I have ever read.
As I didn't finish giving my overall opinion, I am over 65 and this is the first translation that I would accept to read outside of the King James Version. The only error, and it is a typo error, on page 857 and page 858 the book name, Mark, that ok, but the chapter and verse should be 11:23and 11:24. It's no big deal and I would have never found it if I had not used it for reference. As I look at it, it just reminds me that God's words has not errors but man can make them no matter how careful he is. I highly recommend the translation.

Great translation-Great edition!
I received my copy yesterday and am very happy with it. I have waited a couple of years for the release of the entire Bible and it was worth the wait. The print in this edition is very pleasing to the eye and I especially like the O.T. quotations in the New Testament being in darker print.
The book itself is durable and will last for years even through heavy use.
I am familiar with several translations of the Bible and my opinion is that this one is the best of all. Very accurate but also very easy to comprehend. I've done some Greek word studies with this translation and am very impressed with what I found. The HCSB is clearly the word.

Excellent
I have spent many hours comparing the NIV, NASB, NKJ and NLT to the HCSB. At first I was not overly impressed. However the longer I studied and compared the more convinced I became of the accuracy and readability of the new version. I am sold! In fact I have bought several and given them away. I am anxiously awaiting a large print edition (supposed to be available Oct. 1, 2004) to use as my personal Bible and to preach and teach from. I enthusiastically recommend the HCSB for all Christians.
